This just happened.
A message popped up saying my Facebook account has been suspended for allegedly violating their Community Standards on cybersecurity. No warning. No specific explanation. Just a generic message and a countdown: I have 180 days to appeal before my account is permanently deleted.
I’ve submitted the appeal. Now… I wait.
If you’ve been following me on Facebook—whether for Rabbit & Bear, my writing, or just for the community we’ve built—I wanted to let you know what’s going on. Right now, my personal account (I access my author page via my personal account) is invisible. I can’t post, message, or even access my personal page.
To say this is frustrating would be an understatement. For years, Facebook has been where I’ve shared my work and connected with so many of you. It’s where Rabbit & Bear found their voice. Where I’ve been honest about healing, grief, love, and everything in between.
And now—suddenly—I’ve been cut off from it all. Without a clear reason. Without a real path forward except “wait and see.”
If this is where we reconnect, I’m grateful you’re here. I’ll keep sharing updates here on Substack, and I’ll keep creating—because that’s what I do. No platform can take that away.
Thank you for reading. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear anything.

I currently can't access my personal page which means I can't access my author page. That said, I do have posts scheduled to go up automatically for a little while.
Stay tuned 🤷🏼♀️🤞
We’re still here and will always find you again Tara Shannon
